The 2009 workshop theme is techniques to manage trials more efficiently. Workshop topics are:

Efficiently schedule tasks for a trial.

Display task calendar for one or more trials.

Sort tasks by type or person.

Backups

Keep fail-safe backups of current trials.

View and restore trials from backup.

Reports

Set and manage report options.

Print reports to PDF.

Word that exactly match the ARM report.

Use study list to manage current and historical trials
Join Dr. Steven
Gylling, President, Gylling Data Management, Inc. at the next ARM
Tips and Techniques workshop scheduled at the NAICC meeting at The
Peabody Hotel, Memphis, Tennessee. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, January 28,
2009 from
8:00 a.m.
to 12:00 Noon. If you have questions on how to use ARM and have limited
time this is a perfect opportunity to receive in-depth training.
Dr. Gylling is
the original program author of Agriculture Research Manager (ARM),
Pesticide Research Manager (PRM), Summary Across Trials, and the
data collector software. He has conducted research and worked with
research data management since 1972. His Ph.D. is in Agronomy, with
emphasis on weed control. He has previously worked at South Dakota
State University as a weed researcher, state pesticide impact
assessment coordinator, and Cooperative Extension Service computer
specialist.
Schedule:
A continental breakfast buffet is available beginning at 7:30
a.m. The ARM half-day
workshop begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 Noon.

There is no registration fee to attend this free workshop, which
also includes a free breakfast for registered participants. A
training certificate is provided for each pre-registered attendee.

Materials will be provided. We suggest
bringing a laptop computer to follow through the presentation, or if you have questions about
your installed ARM program.
