ARM can calculate a product amount for an unknown formulation if the
rate unit does not reference active ingredient. For example, for a rate
of 1 liter product per hectare, ARM only needs to know that the product
is a liquid formulation in order to calculate the product amount on a
spray/seeding plan report.
Another example is if the formulation is 3800 PPM, then the
formulation concentration is 0.38% (10000 PPM is 1%). ARM can use a
percentage formulation if the formulation concentration unit field is
visible, and a formulation concentration unit that begins with % is
entered. The density field must also be available, and if density of the
active ingredient is not known a density estimate of 1 is used.
If the formulation concentration unit and density fields are not
visible in the treatment editor for a particular study, select Window,
Settings to display the Settings window. Next, select the Treatment tab,
and then scroll the list of treatment fields (columns) to see defined
field lengths and the Visible setting for each treatment field. Use this
window to select which treatment fields are visible in the editor and
also select the field length from a defined range. Any length set to
zero "0" hides the field even if a check mark is present in the
"Visible" checkbox. |
