-
Fixed problem
that ARM would crash when all fields on the last 2 or more tabs were hidden.
-
Fixed a problem
that ARM could incorrectly warn that the field width or field height is
zero, when GPS coordinates were entered in a format other than Decimal
degrees.
-
Fixed a problem
that scrolling the mouse wheel over a graph would cause ARM to crash with
some mouse drivers.
-
Fixed a problem
in Korean Windows that some text boxes were partially covered by grid fields
on the site description.
-
Fixed a problem
that blank criteria displayed on the Treatment Right-Click menu and the
Treatment Ingredient dialog as a character 255.
-
Changed so
Trt-Eval Interval and other interval fields are no longer copied to data
header of calculated AUDPC data columns. Because AUDPC is calculated over
time, there is no specific interval that describes a calculated AUDPC data
column.
|
Summary Across Trials
-
Fixed an error
that could occur when more than 5 columns from a trial matched a single
criteria column.
-
Fixed a problem
that the match and separate wildcard might not generate the correct number
of summary columns when there were blank data header fields in the trials
included in the summary.

Study List
-
Enhanced to include more header information in study list for studies
using GDM PRM 4 study definitions, such as a trial using 4Fung.def and
Title.frm.
-
Enhanced error
messages for any errors that occur when exporting information to study list,
and changed so exporting to study list does not stop if an error occurs
while writing to one of the columns. Errors may occur while exporting some
site description dates (planting date, date of first application) to study
list for trials using old PRM 4 site description such as Title.frm, where
date fields are formatted as text.
|
General
-
Fixed error 63
occurs when opening some PRM 4 trials with a site description .DD2 file.
-
Fixed problem
that multiple message boxes displayed during a batch transmit from DatCol.
Also changed so any duplicate file warnings display with other messages
after transmit is finished.

-
Fixed problem
that scrolling mouse wheel over a long comments entry field in site or
protocol description would scroll entire tab instead of the text box.
-
Fixed problem
that cutting a marked block from comments in site or protocol description
could clear all comment text from the data entry field.
-
Fixed problem
that scrolling mouse wheel over a long comments entry field in site or
protocol description would scroll entire tab instead of the text box.

Graph
-
Fixed problem
with Spray/Seeding Plan report that occurred if at least one treatment line
had a spray volume or mix size that was different than spray volume or mix
size in Settings, when not using large plot number report format. In this
case the report heading was hidden that lists spray volume and mix size in
Settings, however the Settings values were not listed per treatment line.
-
Fixed a
subscript out of range error that occurred when printing a batch report, if
the original study in memory was changed and the option is active to
automatically export changed studies. This may also generate an error 52,
bad file name or number and an incomplete report in earlier ARM versions.

Labels and reports
-
Fixed a problem that the tab name was incorrect when the
Spray/Seeding Plan report was printed to Excel. The Slash is not a valid
character for a tab name and thus the default name "Sheet x" was used
instead. ARM will now replace the Slash with a dash (e.g. Spray-Seeding
Plan) so that the report name can be used as the tab name.
-
Changed so default action is to calculate liquid formulations for
"per linear row" units the same as in ARM 7.1.3-. A new feature to calculate
on a mix size basis was added to ARM 7.2.0 as the default action, but this
was changed in 7.2.0 (Second Edition) so by default users obtain the same
calculation result as in previous versions.
-
Changed to only calculate product amounts for /SEED or /PLANT rate
units if mix size unit is "units" or "seeds". Also only calculate product
amounts for /SEED rate units when using seed treatment spray volume units.
Note: ARM does not actually use spray volume for per-seed rate unit product
calculations. However, since these are applied as a slurry like for "AS" and
"PS" seed treatments, it is safer to only support product calculations when
the correct spray volume is used.

Study List
A new study list table offers an overview of all
ARM studies on your PC. Use the study list to review study status and select
studies to open. Access the study list from File - Open - Study from List (Ctrl+U)
or from the startup wizard.
-
The first time you start
ARM, you are asked whether to build the study list on your PC. Afterward,
the study list is automatically maintained as studies are opened and saved.
Rebuild the entire study list by selecting Utilities - Rebuild Study List.

-
Use the right click menu
(click right mouse button) on the study list to select special study list
commands. For example, to display only trials, right click on the word
Trial in Study Type column, then select Filter by Trial to display only
studies that match this entry. Define more filters (such as on Location,
Study Definition, Investigator, Cooperator, etc.) to further reduce the
display. There is another right-click to clear all filters, which then
restores the original display of all studies.
-
Use the Filter For command
to display only study rows that contain a defined search term. For example,
to show only studies with the word “evaluation” in title, right click in the
Title column and select Filter For, then enter evaluation.

-
Click the Find icon
(binoculars button) to search for words in any row or column of the study
list.
-
Click once on any column
heading to sort entries in that column. Click heading a second time to sort
in reverse order.
-
Drag a column heading left
or right to change the order of columns, or hide a column by right clicking
in the column and selecting Hide Current Field.
-
To open a study,
double-click on a study line or highlight a study and click OK.
-
To open several studies at
once, check the Selected box of each study to open, then click OK.

General

-
Redesigned
Find/Replace dialog offers more options and is easier to use.
-
Enhanced
copy/paste function between ARM sessions so information copied from one ARM
session is automatically placed in the correct destination fields in other
ARM sessions.
-
Added a Reset
button to the Tools - Options dialog that restores the installed option
settings.
|
Study editors
-
Enhanced the
treatments editor for improved block marking and horizontal scrolling.
-
Fixed a problem
when calculating rate of one canopy height rate unit from another canopy
height rate unit (e.g. L/HA/M CH from GA/HA/M CH) that changing mix size
would result in a different calculated rate value. (Second Edition)
-
New option added
to the Settings - Layout tab: "Blocks as columns instead of rows". Use this
option to randomize blocks as vertical columns on trial map. A trial with
column blocks should be oriented like it's trial map when printing a
standard horizontal plot map, or turned 90 degrees from the trial map for a
vertical plot map.
-
Changed so rating
date in plot data header is cleared in calculated data column created by an
AUDPC transformation.
|
Study Definitions and Related Files
-
Added a new help
menu item that displays BBCH Growth Stage references. English, German,
French, and Spanish translations are linked to ARM 7 program language, the
same as for crop and pest common names in code lists.
-
The trial Study
Header now includes the Protocol ID field (copied from Protocol).
-
The Crop and Pest
Name fields increased to 30 characters to accommodate longer entries.
-
New "Keywords"
field added to protocol/site description. Use this new field to define
keywords (total characters 255) to use for filters in the Study List viewer
(File - Open -Study From List).
-
New "Description
Name" entry field on Soil Information tab with a validation that spans %Sand
to Fertility Level. By adding new entries to this validation list, it will
serve as a database of soil definitions across trials.
-
New Longitude
(E/W) and Latitude (N/S) direction fields added to Site Description Trial
Location - General Trial section.
-
New "Cost" field
added to Protocol Description. This field is hidden by default. Display in
Protocol Description View (Tools, Options).
-
New Site
Description "Crop Plant Foliage Height/Unit" fields added to Crop Stage
section. These fields are hidden by default. Display in Site Description
View (Tools, Options).
-
New automatic
calculating "Days after First Application" field added to the plot data
header section for G-All7.def.
-
The Project
Number (protocol description) field was increased to 21 characters to allow
longer entries.
-
Added support for
inoculum treatment type by adding INOC to treatment type validation list and
added the related G-INOC.Lst validation list with example inoculum
organisms.
|
Labels and Reports
-
Added two new ARM
Action Codes:
- "NM" to identify non-analyzable data for
which to report treatment means on summary report.
- "EC" to exclude untreated check from
summary. An example is using for assessments where a weed stand count is
entered for check plots, but percent control is entered for all treated
plots.
-
Two new labels added:
-
Plot
Harvest+Moisture,Weight fill-in, a plot harvest label with blanks
printed where user can write a moisture and weight onto each label.
-
Large Plot #
Sample Label, a large plot number label with a user-defined area so
during printing the user is asked to enter additional label information.
For example, enter on separate lines each of the soil sampling depths
0-6, 6-12, and 12-18 to obtain 3 separate soil sample labels per plot.
-
Add new Global
Settings "Print rate units in lower case" to force rate units to lower case,
and "Print active ingredient rate units as ‘AI’" to force AI rate units
abbreviated as "A" to print as "AI".
-
Enhanced Plot Data
Summary report so a period prints for missing data when the average
subsamples option is selected.
-
Enhance the Dose
Response (File Print Reports - Summary) , sample verification dialog so that
the Sample Size is enabled only when the Data Column type is Response. Also
moved the Sample Size under the "Response" option.
|
Graph
-
The graph options
dialog now offers 128 color choices when a 128 color palette is selected on
Colors tab.
-
Box-whisker data
labels now display the raw/arithmetic mean instead of the percentile mean.
-
Enhanced so that
Box-Whisker is not always forced to include a notch (waist).
-
Any treatment
description on the trial map is used as the graph treatment labels instead
of prompting the user for treatment labels. Treatment number is used as the
label for any treatments with a blank treatment description.
-
Treatment number
is only listed once for multi-line treatments when treatment number is the
only treatment field used for a label.
-
Changed so Data
labels are now updated when changing from bar grouped by data columns to
box-whisker grouped by treatments.
-
Enhanced graph
printing so ARM report margins are honored, allowing user more control of
graph size and position.
-
AUDPC Graph
enhancements:
- Use first rating date as starting date
instead of selecting application date previous to first rating, because
infestation may not be 0 at first application.
- Graph actual data column values for
AUDPC, not the calculated AUDPC values per data column.
- Automatically selected rating date as a
plot data header to display instead of rating data type.
- AUDPC calculation is now correct when
trial is sorted by treatment, or if treatments or replicates were added
to a trial.
