Changes for ARM 7.1.1 (Second Edition) released April 5, 2004
|
back |
|
General
-
Changed to support reading
SE files from database.
-
Enhanced so treatment
validation lists will add entries for skip validation fields (e.g. Density,
Registration Number, Cost, etc.) when adding to list.
-
Corrected problem that
studies were opened via double-click in Explorer, any changes were saved in
the default data directory. This would create a
duplicate study file if the original study were opened from a different
directory.
|
Study editors
-
Corrected problem where validation list editor lost focus after user was
prompted with a Yes/No or Ok/Cancel dialog, such as the "No matches found.
Add item to list?" dialog.
-
Fixed a treatment editor problem that could occur when scrolling to the
right with the horizontal scrollbar if the cursor is in the last row of the
treatment grid. Sometimes the display would flicker
rapidly, and a stack overflow error may occur.
|
Labels and Reports
- Moved plot numbers up
one row on "Cont. Multi-Row Lg.#, Mix Details 99x68mm" label so plot numbers
do not overlay the first treatment line.

Added option to Print to
Excel feature with no formatting, so no cells are merged.
(This format is friendlier to Excel macros.)
Format choices are All, Quick (merged cells) and None.
-
Added a “Check CV”
calculation of the repeated check in seed strip trials.
The Check CV value is reported on AOV Means Table when the option to print
CV is active.
-
Corrected pagination error
that could occur when the Data Collection report is printed after a Summary
report with numerous columns.
-
Added “Allow hidden fields
on report” option to Global Settings. This option will
allow treatment fields that are hidden on the Treatment View to print on
reports.
-
Changed the
"Plot # Spray Randomiz. (1/Trt)" and "Lg. Plot # Spray Randomization (1/Trt)"
labels so they print one label per treatment, while previously they printed
one per plot. Moved these two labels to immediately
below the container labels.

Fixed a problem that
sometimes data was missing on a graph, such as some treatment boxes missing
for a box whisker graph.
|
Summary Across Trials
-
Changed so ST ignores the
ARM AOV option to perform mean comparison only when there is a significant
Treatment P(F) when printing the ST Summary
-
Enhanced ARM ST Summary
report so when selected data header fields are printed (Data header options
of Automatic or Current view) ARM ST will now only print the data header
fields that are selected. Previously ARM ST printed all
fields on the rows that contained selected fields.
-
Fixed problem that mean
comparison test of grand means may be wrong when there is missing data.
Treatment mean values used internally for mean comparison test were
slightly larger than the actual treatment mean.
-
Added option to pivot
(transpose) a ST Summary report when it is printed to Excel.
This is useful for summaries with many columns, to better fit the
summary into Excel.
-
Fixed an error 9 in 4300
that could occur while summarizing some trials.
-
Fixed error that would
occur when summarizing using a criteria file that contained no treatment
criteria.
-
Added ST Summary Option to
de-transform the grand means on the ST Summary Report.
When the De-transform means option is selected, ARM ST will automatically
treat the ARM Action Code field as criteria. Columns
must contain the same type of transformation in order to be summarized
together. The four transformation types are:
-
TS - square root
-
TA - arcsine square
root percent transformation
-
TL - log
transformation
-
Not transformed (by
TS, TA, or TL)
-
Added a new ST Summary
report option "Sort Individual Trial Means" that sorts the individual trial
means for each grand column by the trial ID.
