Changes for ARM 7.0.5 (Second Edition) released September 29, 2003

back

General

  • Fixed a problem that plot data was stored in the wrong position if Save As a PRM 5 trial while plot data was not sorted in plot order.

  • When checking whether information will by lost by saving as an ARM 6 trial rather than an ARM 7 trial, there is now a new check for RTF formatted text that may have been added to the comments editor.

  • Modified how the default file type is set for Save As.  When selecting Save As the default file type is now the current file type.  For example, in an ARM 6 trial the file type will now default to ARM 6 trial; with an ARM 7 trial the file type defaults to ARM 7 trial.  This change was made to allow saving an ARM 6 or older trial type as an ARM 7 trial by clicking File - Save As and selecting ARM 7 trial as the file type.

Reports

  • Fixed a problem that reports printed to Word were truncated if the } symbol was included in the text.

Study Definitions and Related Files

  • Added new rate units: FL OZ/LINEAR FT, ML/M, G/100 GAL, GAL/PLANT, and L/PLANT.

  • Revised EDE and EDP mapping tables GDM30ALL.tbe and GDM30PRT.tbe to improve exporting and importing of study information when communicating with companies using customized ARM screens (added to installation October 7, 2003).

Changes for ARM 7.0.5 released July 14, 2003

back

General

  • Added new path options on File Options dialog window (Tools, Options, File), and arranged paths in a more logical order.

  • Changed so an ARM 6 study is saved by default in an ARM 6 format instead of always saving in an ARM 7 format.  While saving, ARM checks whether new information was added that will be lost if saved in an ARM 6 format.  If so, it asks whether the study can be saved in an ARM 7 format instead.

  • Fixed a problem that sometimes the wrong tooltip information was displayed.

Study editors

  • Added a new "check corrected" transformation TCC that is like check weighted mean TCW, but uses an Argentina method:   = Overall average of check + non-check plot value - mean of 2 adjacent checks.  This transformation is only available by entering the transformation ID TCC into the ARM Action Code field (the same as for TCW).

  • Changed to calculate a metric AI rate unit (such as G A/HA) from OZ/A product rate unit using the correct ounce to gram conversion for a dry formulation.

  • Changed so study related Edit - Insert and Edit - Delete options are always enabled when a study is open.  ARM opens the necessary editor to perform the action if it is not already opened.  If the action is position related, such as for a repeating section, the user is prompted to select the desired position and repeat the command.

  • Changed the Edit - Insert - Treatment Separator option so only one blank line can be inserted between each treatment.

Reports

  • Added new option on the Print Reports Global Settings to "Hide empty treatment fields" that will automatically remove from a report any treatment fields (columns) that are empty.

  • Added new AOV Means Table report option to report Stand Error as a mean description in place of Standard Deviation.  Calculated standard deviations are reported as "StErr" on the report.

Table Enhancements

  • Corrected a problem that occurred when printing tables larger than the print area.  Text is now adjusted to avoid truncation.

  • Increased the default table size to 2 x 2

Study Definitions and Related Files

  • Added a Deutsch translation of the standard GDM study definitions as a new sub-directory of GDMDEF.
  • Added the following new rate units:
  • G A/HA/M CH   Grams Active Ingredient per Hectare per Meter Canopy Height

  • KG A/HA/M CH  Kilograms Active Ingredient per Hectare per Meter Canopy Height

  • KG/HA/M CH    Kilograms Dry Product per Hectare per Meter Canopy Height

  • KG/M3         Kilograms Product per Cubic Meter

  • L/HA/M CH     Liters Product per Hectare per Meter Canopy Height

  • LB/YD3        Pounds Product per Cubic Yard

  • US unit GAL/1000 FT2 and metric unit L/100 M2 (a calculating unit)

  • PLANTS/PLOT (same for metric and US, a non-calculating unit)

  • Changed the existing unit G/100 ML to a calculating unit
