Why do I see negative numbers reported on a Summary report?

back

Typically the missing number is an estimation for a missing data point, and the average across all values in that replicate is slightly lower than for other replicates. Statistically the reported value you see on the report is correct. When the entered data contains high and low numbers, the reported means can be over 100 or less than zero.

Display the Plot Data editor (Window, Plot Data) then use the Data Header field, "ARM Action Code" (or "PRM Data Type" if using an earlier study definition), to enter a P for a rating scale of 0 to 100 (e.g. % control or injury) to limit the range reported on the summary.

Press F9 when the cursor is in the "ARM Action Code" data header field (or "PRM Data Type" if using an earlier study definition) to display the validation list containing available codes. These codes have special actions programmed in ARM.
